Skincare tips. What I use. Quench Micro Water Complex. Fresh, soft and vibrant skin.

I cannot believe that since I started my blog  I didn’t posted any beauty related article. Growing up with a mother that had her own Cosmetology firm, I can say that I learned tones of beauty secrets worth sharing. As a child I was so curious to see how my mom treated different skin issues and help other people look and feel beautiful.

Also, we are 5 sisters, 4 girls besides me, so I can definetely say that I learned a lot about self care, what works and what doesn’t.

Today I want to share with you some tips about how to keep your face feeling and looking fresh and healthy.

During the last years I received multiple questions about the beauty and skincare products that I use. In this article we are going to talk about how to take care of your face on a daily basis.

So here are 3 things that you should stop doing immediately and 3 things that – if you don’t  already do – you should start doing ASAP.

At the end of this article I am going to recommend you some products that I am personally using (skincare products that are helping me to maintain a smooth, radiant complexion).

Ok, so let’s jump right into it!

Stop doing these 3 things!

  1. Assuming that after removing your face makeup with a wet wipe or micellar water your face is completely clean.

Ok, hear me out. I am not against using wet wipes/micellar water for removing makeup. The problem is if you only do so and then you go to sleep thinking your face is clean. Trust me, you are wrong! Your face is not clean!

If you don’t believe me, test it! Use a white damp facecloth/towel and wipe your face gently. You will notice that these products (the makeup remover wipes or micellar water) didn’t clean your face entirely. You will see that the towel is not completely white anymore.

2. Overusing face masks, facial peels etc.

I found this to be a very common mistake. Yes, face masks feel great and let your skin smooth and fresh but overusing them makes more damage to your skin than good. Plus, your skin produces a natural oil that has its role. It is called sebum and it works as a ¨bodyguard (or faceguard, lol) that keeps bacterials and fungal infections away.

Trust me, I use to overdo my skincare routine using a bunch of fancy products thinking that my skin will be at its best. I was so wrong! I was not letting the natural oils to do their job!

3. Thinking that any daily moisturizer works for you.

If I would get a dollar for every time I heard my girlfriends picking or recommending a daily face cream because it smells nice I would be rich!

No, no, no. You should actually stay away of face products with strong smell. I believe that the best skincare products are actually having a very discreet and not a strong smell.

What I do and what you should start doing if you want an awesome skin

  1. After I remove my makeup with a makeup remover wipe I use a mild daily cleanser: the Quench Micro Water Complex Foaming Cleanser that I apply on a pore cleansing silicone pad. This one really hydrates my skin leaving it very soft. I massage my face gently with it and then rinse it off with warm water.

You can also use a face brush but I personally recommend a silicone pad because its not so harsh on your skin and also you have total control with it. You can tell if you need to insist more over some areas or not. Also, it is different than a face brush which is already set to spin at a certain speed. That speed may not work for you. Yes – even the minimum speed, the slow mode, may be too harsh for your skin, especially if you have sensitive skin.

A face brush can over exfoliate your skin!

What I like about using the silicone pad with the daily cleanser is that it leaves my skin supple and refreshingly clean.

2. Regarding the second issue that we previously talk – overusing face masks and not letting your sebum doing its job – you can say ¨Yucks, it sounds gross!¨

I am not saying that you should live with an oily face but try to use face masks or face peels 2 times per week. It is enough.

Or, if you really feel the need to clean your face more or it is necessary for you to use heavy makeup looks daily, do what I do. I like to wear a natural makeup on a daily basis. For that I am using a facial peel more than 2 times per week, maybe 4 days out of 7. But I make sure that its a very smooth one.

From the same set, I use the Quench Micro Water Complex Radiance Facial Peel. This one actually eliminates dry skin and dull skin cells. It doesn’t contain harsh chemicals or rough granules.

So, after I remove my makeup with the Foaming Cleanser I apply a thin layer of this Facial peel when my face is still lightly wet. I apply it also on my neck. I leave it on for 1 minute for activation and then I massage my skin using circular motions. I rinse with warm water and I am ready for the last step.

3. I use a moisturizer that suits my skin type. Why I stress so much this aspect? Because using the wrong face cream, on a daily basis, can actually hurt your skin, leaving a very dry/oily skin or it can even cause breakouts.

First – if you don’t already know it, I recommend you to find out whats your skin type. There are various ways in which you can do that. The best way is to consult a dermatologist but you can also take an online test or just read an article that will help you determine that.

Then, obviously, choose your daily moisturizer according to your skin type. I use the Quench Micro Water Complex Daily Glow Moisturizer. This product is amazing because it makes my skin vibrant and soft. It is also a perfect primer for foundation and makeup.

Disclosure:  This is NOT a sponsored post. Quench Micro Water Complex did not provided this skincare set in exchange for my review/post. I bought it with my personal money. I really like these products so I decided to share my opinion with you.
